The Horseshoe Lake is the first lake to greet you on arrival at Alvechurch Fisheries and covers approximately two acres. A well-established water, it is surrounded by reeds and mature trees, creating a peaceful setting for both pleasure anglers and match fishing alike.
In 2009, an island was created and carefully landscaped to enhance the fishing experience while encouraging local wildlife. The lake features 30 decked pegs built to BDAA standards for disabled anglers, ensuring comfortable and accessible fishing for everyone.
Horseshoe Lake is well stocked with quality fish, including Carp, Tench, Barbel, Ide, Roach, Bream, Rudd, Perch and Crucian Carp.
We run regular open matches throughout both summer and winter, with forthcoming fixtures listed on our Facebook page. Midweek open matches are also available year-round please ask for further details.
As our main match lake, Horseshoe Lake is available for club bookings.
