The 27-peg Colmic Canal Lake opened for angling in Spring 2015 and has quickly established itself as a prolific match water, regularly producing winning weights in excess of 200lb.
Constructed using laser measuring equipment, the lake was carefully designed to ensure uniform swims from every peg, giving anglers an equal opportunity to compete and enjoy consistent sport.
Depths average 6 feet in the central channel, with approximately 2 feet on the marginal shelf around the island and inside margins. The distance to the island from each peg is approximately 13 metres, ideal for pole fishing.
The lake is well stocked with Carp, Barbel, Ide, Chubb, Roach, Tench, Bream and Perch, offering excellent sport for both match and pleasure anglers.
